    Can I see a physical sample and what is your policy?

    A product photo tells you a lot — but nothing beats holding the actual item. We offer two types of physical samples so you can make your decision with complete confidence.

    Choose a Generic Sample to evaluate the product itself, or a Spec Sample to see your exact imprint on the product before committing to a full run.

    Share Your Artwork Before We Ship a Sample

    We review every sample request against your art to make sure it will actually work

    Before we send any sample, we'd like to see your artwork. Not every product can reproduce every design — and catching a mismatch before a sample ships saves everyone time. Here's what we look at:

    Imprint Method

    Not all products support full-color printing. Many are limited to one or two spot colors. A photographic logo or gradient won't reproduce well on a single-color imprint — we'll tell you upfront.

    Imprint Area

    Every product has a defined imprint area — and it may be smaller than you expect. If your design includes a lot of text or detail, we'll let you know what will and won't fit cleanly.

    Art Complexity

    Fine lines, small fonts, or intricate detail can get lost depending on the printing method and material. We'd rather flag it early than have you receive a sample that doesn't reflect what the final order could look like.

    Send your logo or artwork to orders@saveyourink.com along with your sample request. We'll review it and confirm the best approach before anything goes out the door.

    Sample Types

     

    Generic Sample

    Evaluate the product — size, feel, and quality — before you order

     

    Samples may carry random imprints and can be assorted varieties. If a printed sample isn't available, you may receive an un-imprinted one.

     

    You can request a specific product color.

     

    Samples valued over $3.00 are charged at the minimum product price plus freight. Provide a UPS or FedEx account number to cover shipping.

     

    Orders placed before 1:00 PM EST ship same day; orders after 1:00 PM ship the following business day. Samples cannot be ordered by phone.

     

    If we're unable to fulfill your request, we'll notify you within 24 hours.

     

    We ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS. PO Boxes must ship via USPS. International shipments outside the continental US and Canada require a third-party shipping account or prepaid freight.

     

    Spec Sample & Pre-Production Proof

    Cost

    Pricing varies by product. Contact us for a quote. If you proceed with a full order, the spec sample fee is credited back. If you don't proceed, the fee is non-refundable.

    Turnaround

    Most spec samples are ready in 3–5 business days. Timing can vary by product and supplier — ask us when you request a quote.

     

    Review your proof carefully before approving. Once you approve, the factory is not responsible for errors in the approved artwork. Your approval is your confirmation that the product is ready for production exactly as shown.
