Who Uses Custom Branded Water Bottles?
We sell a lot of logo water bottles. After 25 years, you start to see the same buyers coming back for the same reasons - and the bottle that works for a hospital waiting room is completely wrong for a 5K giveaway. Here's who orders what, and why.
Trade Shows & Conventions
Volume is the whole game here. You want 300, 500, maybe 1,000 bottles and you don't want to spend more than $1.50 each. Our plastic sport bottles hit that range. People at trade shows are on their feet all day and genuinely want water - they'll take the bottle, use it, and carry your logo around the floor without you having to do anything else.
Corporate Gifts & Employee Wellness
HR departments and office managers order from us constantly for this. Onboarding kits, wellness month, company anniversaries - an insulated stainless bottle in the $8-$15 range feels like a real gift. And here's what matters: people keep them. We've heard from buyers who say employees are still using bottles they gave out two years ago.
Schools, Gyms & Sports Teams
Bike bottles. Squeeze bottles, mostly. That $1.25-$1.85 price point. We had a high school in Ohio last year order 200 for their athletic department - came out to around $370 total. Those bottles ended up at every home game and away tournament through the spring season. Hard to beat that math.
Healthcare & Wellness Campaigns
Clinics and hospitals have been ordering branded bottles from us since we started. The pitch is simple - hand someone a water bottle with your clinic's name on it and you're literally promoting hydration while marketing your practice. BPA-free is non-negotiable in this space.
Charity Events & Fundraisers
5K runs and walkathons go through bottles fast. Budget sport bottles keep the per-unit cost down, and unlike a paper flyer, a bottle sticks around. We've had nonprofits tell us their branded bottles from a spring fundraiser were still being spotted at the gym months later.
Real Estate & Financial Services
Open houses, closing gifts, new account welcome packages. Agents like to bundle - bottle plus a pen, maybe a notepad with the brokerage logo. Of the three items, the bottle is the one that survives the car ride home. It ends up on a kitchen counter or in a gym bag, which is exactly where you want your name and number sitting.
The material matters more than people realize. A plastic bottle and a stainless steel bottle aren't just different price points - they send different messages and hold up differently. Here's what we carry.
Stainless Steel Bottles
If someone handed you a stainless steel bottle with a company logo on it, you'd keep it. That's the whole idea. Double-walled models hold temperature all day - ice water at 8am is still cold at 5pm. Laser engrave these and they look legitimately expensive. Corporate gifts, client thank-yous, executive onboarding - this is the tier.
BPA-Free Plastic Bottles
The workhorse. Plastic bottles start around $1.00-$1.50 per unit on larger orders, come in every color you can think of, and weigh next to nothing. When you need 500 bottles for a school orientation or a conference booth, plastic is where you end up. Not glamorous, but the value per unit is hard to argue with.
Glass Water Bottles
Not our highest-volume seller, but glass bottles have a loyal following. Zero plastic taste, nothing leaching into the water, and honestly they just look good sitting on a desk or in a photo. The silicone sleeve most of them ship with makes breakage way less of a worry than you'd expect. Yoga studios and wellness brands order these regularly.
Eco-Friendly & Recycled
Made from recycled plastic, wheat straw, or biodegradable composites. We sell a lot of eco-friendly bottles to companies with CSR programs or eco-focused events. One of our customers did a beach cleanup last summer and handed out personalized water bottles made from recovered ocean plastic - the attendees talked about those bottles more than anything else at the event.
Insulated (Double-Walled)
The double-wall vacuum thing isn't marketing - ice water genuinely stays cold for 24 hours and coffee holds heat for about 12. We tested a few in our own office. They cost more per unit, no question, but the math changes when you factor in how long people keep them. A $12 insulated bottle that someone uses for two years is a better investment than a $1.50 plastic bottle that gets lost in a week.
Specialty & Sport Bottles
Sport bottles with built-in straws, carabiners, measurement markings, squeeze-friendly walls. Lid options alone could keep you browsing for a while - flip top, flip up spout, push button, push/pull, screw on, and tethered. Best sellers for gyms, outdoor events, and anything fitness-adjacent.
Three things drive custom water bottle pricing: what it's made of, how you want the logo applied, and how many you're ordering. Here's roughly where things fall.
Under $2.00 Each
Basic plastic sport bottles. The 20 oz. Hydration Water Bottle starts at $1.05 per unit. Not fancy, but they're clean, they hold water, and at 500 units you're looking at $525 for your whole event. That's less than most companies spend on a single Facebook ad that disappears in 24 hours.
$2.00 to $8.00 Each
Most orders land here. Tritan plastic, aluminum, single-wall stainless - nicer materials, more color options, features like flip lids and measurement markings. These are the bottles that don't immediately signal "free giveaway" when someone pulls one out of their bag.
$8.00 and Up
Vacuum-insulated stainless, glass with bamboo caps, brand names like CamelBak and Hydro Flask. You'd order these for a client appreciation event or an executive welcome package - situations where a cheap bottle would actually work against you. Laser engraving looks particularly good on this tier.
Per-unit pricing drops as you increase quantity - it's automatic on every product page, no need to call and negotiate. Minimums vary by style, usually 24 to 200 units. If you need a quote on a very large run, reach out and we'll put something together.
A logo on a water bottle has to survive being tossed in a gym bag, run through a dishwasher, and handled every day. The imprint method matters as much as the bottle itself.
What most people end up going with for printed bottles. Clean lines, bold color, works on plastic and metal. If your logo is one or two colors, this is probably the right call.
Most popularEtched directly into metal and stainless steel. Can't peel, can't scratch off, can't wash away. The finish looks sharp and holds up basically forever. There's a reason every premium bottle we sell gets engraved.
Stainless & metalYou need this if your logo has gradients, photos, or more than three colors. Digital printing reproduces complex artwork that screen printing can't handle. Costs a bit more per unit but the results speak for themselves.
Complex artworkFor odd-shaped imprint areas or textured surfaces where screen printing won't lay flat. Not as common, but when you need it, you need it.
Small imprint areasSingle-sided or double-sided imprint depends on the bottle model. Most styles offer multiple barrel and lid colors so you can get close to matching your brand palette. Check product pages for what's available on the specific bottle you're looking at.
Free digital proof on every order. We mock up your logo on the actual bottle before anything goes to production. If you want changes, we'll revise until you're happy with it. Nothing prints until you say go.
We've been at this since 2000. That sounds like a throwaway line, but it actually matters - we've seen which bottles hold up after six months of daily use and which ones don't, which imprint methods last through a hundred dishwasher cycles, and which corners you can cut without it being obvious. Here's what you get with every order:
- Free digital proof - you see the finished design on the actual bottle before we print a single unit
- No hidden setup fees - what you see on the product page is what you pay at checkout
- Quantity discounts built in - the per-unit price drops as you add more, automatically
- Rush production - rush bottles are available if your event snuck up on you
- Actual humans answering the phone - people who know promo products, not a phone tree
- Quality checks before shipping - bottle 500 should match bottle 1 and we make sure it does
190+ Google reviews, A+ BBB rating. We're not going to belabor that - you can look it up if you want to.
Short version: pick a bottle, upload your logo, approve the proof, we ship it. Longer version:
Browse by material, price, lid style, or size. If you're stuck between two options, call us at (866) 856-7063 - we'll tell you which one makes more sense for what you're doing.
Upload your logo in whatever format you have. If the file needs cleanup or resizing for the imprint area, our graphics team takes care of it. No charge for that.
We'll email a mockup showing exactly how your logo looks on the bottle - size, position, colors. Want something moved or resized? Tell us. We don't start production until you're satisfied with it.
Standard orders go out in 5-10 business days after approval. If you're working with a deadline, ask about rush production and expedited shipping - both are available on most styles.
Most promotional items end up in a junk drawer within a week. A water bottle doesn't - it goes to work, the gym, the car, the kitchen counter. Here's why water bottles work as promo products:
- Daily use = repeated brand exposure - bottles travel with recipients all day, generating hundreds of brand impressions over their lifespan
- Eco-friendly and reusable - handing out a reusable bottle signals your company thought about the environment, without needing to say it out loud
- Affordable with high ROI - a $3.00 bottle used 200 times costs about $0.015 per impression. Better than almost any digital ad.
- Versatile across industries - corporate offices, schools, healthcare, fitness, nonprofits, government all order these
- Promotes hydration and wellness - a branded bottle sitting on someone's desk is a quiet reminder to drink more water, which is why these keep showing up in employee wellness budgets
- Built for the long haul - insulated stainless and glass models last years, not weeks, giving your logo extended life in daily rotation
